Welcome to the BrewCard Blog, created solely for the purpose of sharing and celebrating great beer experiences, insights, discoveries, and brew news.

We love beer! We know you do too, because, well, here you are. So grab a cold brew, pop the top, and enjoy. We have a lot to talk about, you and I.

First off, we’re so glad you found us, and particularly this post, a summary of what we like to share in our articles.

We enjoy experiencing new brew destinations and flavors and sharing them with our community of passionate beer enthusiasts. The beer world is growing, and that’s exciting! Billions of pints (fifty billion, actually) are drunk in the United States each year, and the number is growing. But even more interesting, is that our tastes are changing and becoming more refined. Today’s beer lovers are enjoying the largest variety of beers ever known to man, and many of those are great beers.

We’re no longer drinking our dad’s brand. With literally thousands of breweries creating dozens of different beers each, we have an abundance of choices. If you can think it, it’s probably in a craft beer somewhere.

TheBrewCard is about community and bringing people together, even when they’re apart. We all love sharing a beer with someone but the reality of distance doesn’t always make that easy. TheBrewCard is all about sharing a beer with someone far away, and celebrating with them for a birthday, special occasion, or just because. We also love sharing stories and experiences with our fellow BrewCarders.

Sharing and Awareness

Community is about sharing, creating awareness, and helping others. Through theBrewCard we can all make a difference. Our Blogs will feature, from time to time, great stories on charities and how we, the Brewcarders of America, can make a difference.

It’s amazing what even a little sharing and caring can do. With that in mind, we like to share worthwhile charities – some of which are beer-centric, like Pints For Prostates or Beer For Boobs, and some that are just share-worthy, so that gogether we might all make a difference.

Brew Pubs and Microbrews

We’re actively engaged in the beer community in our ongoing search for great craft brews.

In 2017, the U.S. beer industry shipped (sold) 207.4 million barrels of beer – equivalent to more than 2.9 billion cases of 24-12 ounce servings. In addition, the industry shipped approximately 2 million barrels of cider, equivalent to more than 28.3 million cases.

Wow, that’s a lot of beer. you know, 2.9 billion cases is 69 billion 12-ounce beers.

According to TTB preliminary reports, there were 5,648 reporting brewery facilities/locations in the United States in 2017. This is an increase of about 552 from 2016 reports.

So, there’s no way we’ll ever be able to experience them all. I couldn’t even imagine trying. That’s why we’re really more interested in quality over quantity. That’s partly what craft beers are about, and that’s what we love about them. With their pronounced robust flazors and higher IBUs, great craft beers are a tasty treat from what we had to choose from just a few years back.

Las Vegas

TheBrewCard team is based in Las Vegas, and we naturally consider the notoriously famous Sin City our home.

BrewCard™ Gift Card ~ Las Vegas BeerIf you’re a local , you already know that Las Vegas is catching up with other parts of the United States in terms of small craft breweries, with a little over a dozen brewery taprooms producing great beers.

If you’re a visitor to Las Vegas, you’ll find a nice grouping of fantastic Brew Experience Destinations scattered across Las Vegas and Henderson. along with some fun experiences at the Strip, as we’ve come to expect from our 24/7 city that always loves a good party. Viva Las Vegas!

Fine Art & Craft Beer

As artists, we love the act of creation. We like making things. Some say that making beer is first art and that the craft is in consistently producing a quality product from that master brew. Fine art and craft brewing are similar in that regard. Artists (painters, sculptors, musicians) go through a similar process of creation. Hey, creation is creation — all good energy. So, it’s only natural to pair fine art and craft beer.
